Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database functions
Build and maintain SSIS packages to automate data workflows and processes
Ensure efficient, scalable handling of data supporting daily business operations
Administer and maintain core business applications to ensure data integrity and optimal performance
Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and enhance application functionality
Troubleshoot application issues and drive continuous improvements
Architect and design robust data models, utilizing Entity-Relationship (ER) diagrams to illustrate data structures
Develop scalable solutions using cloud services, ensuring integration with big data and data lake technologies
Ensure data structures support both operational efficiency and long-term growth
Leverage big data platforms for processing large datasets and extracting valuable insights
Utilize MS Azure, AWS, and Snowflake to design, implement, and manage cloud-based data solutions
Support the development of data lakes and big data initiatives
Leverage and manage APIs to facilitate data integration between various systems and applications
Ensure secure and seamless data exchange across key platforms
Apply data science techniques to analyze datasets, perform statistical analysis, and build predictive models
Utilize Python or similar programming languages for data manipulation, reporting, and automation tasks
Deliver clear, actionable reporting to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Gather and document detailed business requirements from operational and corporate stakeholders
Use SQL to extract, analyze, and interpret data supporting project decisions and performance metrics
Partner with business and data teams to ensure accuracy, data integrity, and meaningful reporting
Assist in SQL Server database administration tasks, including performance tuning, monitoring, backup, and recovery operations
Maintain compliance with data security, retention, and regulatory requirements
Contribute to improvements in database reliability, uptime, and long-term performance

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field
5+ years in SQL development with direct experience building and maintaining SSIS packages
Proven experience in business application administration, system integrations, and data modeling
Strong proficiency in SQL and database design principles
Familiarity with cloud platforms, including Azure, AWS, and Snowflake
Working knowledge of big data technologies and data lake architectures
Working knowledge of Python or similar languages for automation, analytics, and data processing
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making
Ability to clearly communicate complex data concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Collaborative, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
