Responsibilities

Define and execute the long-term hyperscale and data center strategy aligned with strengths in fiber networks, routing, optical transport, engineering, and field services
Develop business cases for new offerings, including:
Data center deployment and integration services
Structured cabling and optical connectivity inside facilities
Data center technician staffing and workforce solutions
Edge and near-cloud infrastructure build-outs
Evaluate and lead expansion opportunities through M&A, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships
Identify, pursue, and secure hyperscale opportunities with cloud providers, large data center operators, and enterprise customers
Expand wallet share within existing Tier 1 accounts through cross-selling new data center capabilities
Own commercial strategy, pricing models, and annual revenue growth targets for the data center business
Partner with engineering and delivery teams to define service capabilities, standards, and best practices within data center environments
Build scalable national operating plans, including workforce forecasting, tooling, safety, and compliance
Integrate data center offerings into enterprise systems, processes, and performance reporting
Expand installer and technician training programs to include certified Data Center Technician career pathways
Develop curriculum, cross-training initiatives, and partnerships with certification bodies (e.g., BICSI, Uptime Institute)
Build a sustainable talent pipeline to support hyperscale growth
Serve as the organization’s executive thought leader in data centers, representing the company at industry conferences, client meetings, and strategic forums
Track and assess emerging trends in hyperscale environments, including optical networking advances, automation, and sustainability initiatives

Required

10+ years of experience in the data center ecosystem with senior leadership and P&L responsibility
Proven success winning and scaling hyperscale business with cloud providers, large data center operators, or colocation platforms
Deep knowledge of inside-plant and outside-plant connectivity, including fiber, optical networking, structured cabling, pathway design, and installation standards
Experience leading national delivery teams and managing third-party contractors
Demonstrated ability to build service offerings, engineering capabilities, or workforce programs from inception
Executive-level relationship management skills with hyperscalers and data center operators

Preferred

Background in telecom infrastructure, transport networking, or large-scale deployment programs
Experience leading go-to-market integration during new market entry or business expansion
Familiarity with data center facility operations, including power, cooling, and resiliency planning
