Responsibilities
Identify carriers for available freight and negotiate competitive rates
Build and maintain strong carrier relationships
Answer inbound and make outbound calls to ensure outstanding customer service
Drive operational excellence to both customer and carriers
Manage daily load activities, resolving issues to ensure on time pick-up and delivery
Proactively resolve problems that may arise while a load is in transit
Creative thinker who enjoys a competitive, team-based atmosphere
Grow business with current carriers in alignment with account growth strategy plans
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Strong work ethic with a sense of urgency; able to work in a fast-paced work environment with quickly changing priorities
Works proactively and independently, with the ability to take initiative
Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics
Willingness to learn new information and apply knowledge to job responsibilities
Preferred
Bachelors' degree
Previous sales experience
Truck brokerage knowledge
