Office Associate
The NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene is dedicated to protecting and improving the health of NYC. The Office Associate will provide support to the Bureau’s administrative operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and assisting with various clerical tasks.

Responsibilities
Perform moderately difficult and responsible clerical work in maintaining and checking various records and filing, including scanning documents into electronic file, and support of records management systems
Conduct data entry and data retrieval using excel and other systems across multiple databases to support administrative operations
Assist in filing and tracking of e-Performance documents for employees (e.g., Tasks & Standards/ Evaluation documents)
Collect and file documentation for personnel actions (new hires, leaves of absence, promotions and separations)
Schedule meetings and interviews, reserve conference rooms, notify participants and send confirmation for public facing activities
Ensure proper storage and handling of confidential information and update databases in accordance with protocols
Liaise with staff and leadership across borough offices, divisions and agency
Assist in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience
Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute
Preferred
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
Highly organized, strong attention to detail, and solution oriented
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite desired but not required
Experience with data entry and querying datasets a plus
