The Davey Tree Expert Company, through its division Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc., is seeking a highly motivated student for a Water Resources Engineering internship. This role will provide an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in stream and wetland restoration as well as stormwater management.

Responsibilities

Gain experience in all phases of stream and wetland restoration as well as stormwater management through tasks including site assessment, modeling, design, permitting, construction, monitoring and maintenance

Qualification

Water Resources EngineeringHydrologic ModelingStormwater DesignErosion Control DesignAutoCAD Civil 3DMicroStationTR-55TR-20HEC-RASExcelWordCommunication Skills

Required

3rd or 4th year student in Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field

Proficient in Excel and Word

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey thoughts clearly and concisely

Preferred

Hydrologic/ Hydraulic modeling, storm water design and erosion & sediment control design will be strongly considered

Knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, TR-55, TR-20 or HEC-RAS will also be considered, but will be taught as needed
