Responsibilities

Solve technical and operational problems at our customer’s engine power plants
Support preventative maintenance activities according to maintenance programs
Support New Build and Commissioning teams on project delivery
Manage and maintain good relationships with the customer during work execution
Participate in customer meetings as local support for electrical and automation scope
Create service work reports and other relevant documentation related to site or customer visits
Be able to travel to our customer facilities for service attendance within Canada, US and the Caribbean
Be on service jobs about 80% of the year

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Controls & Automation, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent diploma
Minimum of three (3) years' work experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting: Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider etc
Understanding of PLC function blocks and ladder diagrams
Experience with Wonderware or other applicable HMI platforms
Proficient on standard industrial network protocols (Modbus TCP, Profibus, CAN-bus, CIP, EtherNet/IP, DeviceNET, ControlNET, Industrial Ethernet etc.)
Programming of firewalls and routers
Experience with Woodward control systems for diesel and gas engines
Experience with Reciprocating Gas Engine Control Systems (Wärtsilä, MAN, MaK, Caterpillar, Bergen etc)
Excellent leadership and collaboration skills
Good electrical knowledge
Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong focus on safety protocols and QEHS standards
Must be able to work independently

Project management skills
Ability to travel to customer facilities for service attendance within Canada, US and the Caribbean
Willingness to be on service jobs about 80% of the year
80% travel commitment, encompassing both domestic and international, including onshore and offshore locations
Candidates for regular U.S and Puerto Rico positions must be a U.S. citizen, national, or an alien admitted as permanent resident, refugee, asylee with valid work permit or temporary resident under 8 U.S.C. 1160(a) or 1255a(1)
Individuals hired for positions that require on-site customer interactions and/or in-person travel may be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or other country-specific vaccinations
