Responsibilities

Investigate and resolve change requests from manufacturing or suppliers
Develop rework or modification procedures to support product updates
Support the full product lifecycle from concept definition through detailed design, release to production, and post-production support of Ground Based Defense System including Effectors
Work closely with other engineering disciplines, non-technical functions, and suppliers to develop robust design solutions and resolve technical challenges
Participate in design peer reviews, resolve action items, and conduct trade studies to inform technical decisions
Manage tasks independently and ensure timely delivery of technical, schedule, and financial commitments
Mentor and support less experienced engineers, contributing to team development and technical growth

Required

Minimum 3 years of mechanical engineering industry experience, preferably in rugged or military-grade hardware design
Hands-on experience with 3D CAD tools and associated product data management (PDM) systems. CREO, Solidworks, and NX Siemens Preferred
Experience with the full product lifecycle, including concept development, detailed design, and production support
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline (required)

Preferred

Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related hardware systems discipline
Familiarity with electronic packaging design and development including Subsystems, modules, CCAs, PWBs, and Interconnects (supporting RF, digital, and power systems)
Design, fabrication, and integration of electronic assemblies, shelters, racks, and power distribution units
Military and commercial specifications
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
ECAD development processes
Experience with Interconnects, Cables, and Harnesses
Material selection and finishes
Proficient in Creo CAD tools and documentation
Experience with Windchill PDM or similar configuration/data management systems
Familiarity with configuration control and change management processes
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
Strong team player with a self-driven, proactive mindset
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
Excellent communication, technical writing, and presentation skills
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
