Responsibilities
Delivering engineering and scientific efforts related to the design of new products and services and new designs for customer projects
Leading delivery of projects through design, verification, production, and commercialization stages
Coordinating closely with Discipline, Research, and Testing teams as needed
Performing rotor dynamic analysis
Performing electrical design tasks
Resolving customer issues
Providing shop troubleshooting, including on-site visits when local personnel cannot resolve issues
Supporting the OTR Engineering Team in eliminating backlog and restoring predictable, on-time deliverables
Qualification
Required
Technical expertise in Mechanical Engineering principles combining physics, chemistry, and mathematics with materials science
Understanding of core disciplines: mechanics, structural dynamics, rotor dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid and aerodynamics, materials science, and structural analysis
Experience leveraging CAD, CAM, and product lifecycle management tools to create and analyze industrial equipment or processes such as fluid transport, liquid/gas compression, combustion, and heating/cooling systems
Ability to deliver engineering and scientific efforts related to the design of new products and services and new designs for customer projects
Experience leading delivery of projects through design, verification, production, and commercialization stages
Ability to coordinate closely with Discipline, Research, and Testing teams as needed
Experience performing rotor dynamic analysis
Experience performing electrical design tasks
Ability to resolve customer issues
Experience providing shop troubleshooting, including on-site visits when local personnel cannot resolve issues
Ability to support the OTR Engineering Team in eliminating backlog and restoring predictable, on-time deliverables
