The New York Mets are seeking talented students for paid summer internship opportunities within their front office. The internship program is designed for students entering their junior or senior year, offering the chance to contribute significantly to the organization while exploring various aspects of the business.

Responsibilities

Learn aspects of the Ballpark Operations department such as: Building maintenance, HVAC / MEP, Cleaning, Event operations, Financials, Scheduling

Assist office management with tasks such as:

Preventive Maintenance check lists and build up for trades (Engineer, Maintenance, Electricians, Plumbers)

Work Order creation, dispatch and close out

Report on department KPI’s

Vendor relations

Inventory control

Office workflow and administration

Qualification

Major League Baseball knowledgeMicrosoft OfficeCommunication skillsTeamworkFast-paced environment

Required

Some knowledge of Major League Baseball rules, history and players

Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment

Must be able to work and interact well with others (fellow interns, executives, front office staff, athletes, fans, corporate clients, etc.)

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Solid computer skills, with an emphasis on Microsoft Office (Excel/Word)

Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
