Responsibilities
Work closely across newsroom teams to aid the newsgathering operation and develop the day’s top stories – whatever they may be
Edit stories, graphics and page designs for accuracy, quality and clarity with an emphasis on visual sophistication
Research and write informative headlines, subheads and navigation devices. Explore innovative approaches to visual solutions
Compile the photo report in the absence of the photo managers
Meet copy and page flow deadlines
Foster a culture of collaboration and contributes to a healthy team dynamic
All other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must possess a working knowledge of AP style
Preferred
Bachelor's degree from a four (4) year college or university, preferably in English, journalism or graphic design
two (2) years of related experience
