Responsibilities
Design fire alarm, VESDA, security CCTV, HPM, and leak detection systems using AutoCAD and Revit MEP
Produce 3D BIM models and constructible designs in coordination with architects and engineers
Provide equipment sizing, network diagrams, specifications, calculations, and construction deliverables in compliance with codes and standards
Interface with clients, code officials, and project teams
Apply industry codes including IFC, IBC, NFPA101, NFPA72, NFPA70 (NEC), and NFPA400
Estimate and schedule mid-to-large-scale projects
Mentor junior staff and support design management activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with ability to attain PE licensure
Minimum 4 years of AutoCAD design experience
Knowledge and application of IFC, IBC, NFPA101 Life Safety Code, NFPA72 Fire Alarm and Signaling Code
NFPA70 (NEC) electrical design requirements
NFPA400 Hazardous Materials Code
Design experience with fire alarm, VESDA, security CCTV, HPM, and leak detection systems
Understanding of design and construction specifications
Experience estimating and scheduling mid-to-large-scale projects
Preferred
Professional Engineering (PE) license
Project leadership and resource management experience
Experience mentoring junior staff
Design management experience
Experience in semiconductor or data center projects
Working knowledge of 3D BIM software (Revit)
