Purchasing Assistant

Responsibilities

Monitor/update Product Buy Lines, Vendor Files, and Products as necessary
With input from the Sales Department and Purchasing Manager, analyze product activity and change product status (stock/non-stock) accordingly
Purchase products in ways that maximize profitability and support the Affiliated Distributors (AD) network: GMROI, turns analysis, discounts, and forward buying opportunities
Review and act on data within your daily, weekly, and periodic reports
Review and act on various queues like the PO expedite, Return Goods, PO review, PO variance and others
Establish solid working relationships with AD, Vendors, Rep Agencies, and Sales team
Check and respond to e-mails, voice mail and Eclipse messages continually throughout the day
Seek out and attend appropriate internal and external training

U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required

Preferred

Prior experience with purchasing, inventory, or distribution systems
Experience in a wholesale environment
