Catheterization Laboratory Manager
St. Joseph Medical Center is seeking a Catheterization Laboratory Manager to oversee the daily operations and performance of the Cath Lab, ensuring high-quality cardiac care. The role requires a blend of clinical knowledge, leadership, and operational management.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day Cath Lab operations including workflow, scheduling, staffing, and patient throughput
Supervise and develop Cath Lab staff ensuring competencies, training, and performance evaluations
Coordinate with cardiologists and surgeons on case preparation, room turnover, protocols, and rapid issue resolution
Maintain regulatory compliance and high-quality standards while monitoring key metrics like door-to-balloon times and patient outcomes
Oversee equipment, supplies, inventory, and vendor relationships while managing budgets, expenses, and capital planning
Serve as a liaison across clinical departments and lead emergency readiness including STEMI activations and call systems
Qualification
Required
Must have a current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Certified American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
Require a minimum of one year of supervisory/management experience
Require one year of Cath Lab experience
BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
Basic computer knowledge
Proficient in interpreting EKGs and hemodynamic pressure tracings
Operate Cardiovascular Laboratory equipment; pressure injectors, hemodynamic monitor, cardiac output computer, etc
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree preferred
