Network Engineer

They are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to support and evolve their enterprise network infrastructure, focusing on designing and implementing network architectures and enforcing security boundaries.
Responsibilities
Cisco IOS, CatOS, NxOS, filter and access control, Ciscoworks, TACACS+, ASA, FWSM, HP Openview, Cisco routers, Cisco Switches, F5/Cisco load balancers, Infiniband, Juniper, FiberChannel (FC) SAN, and VPN (IPSEC)
Physical installation and configuration and troubleshooting of network routers, switches, load balancers and security devices
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stack and routing and switching protocols
Strong working knowledge of L2/L3 protocols
Strong working knowledge of stateful firewalls, and L3 access controls
Working knowledge of Atlassian Tool Suite
Able to support on-call requirements
Able to work in live call environment and utilize remedy and/or other ticketing system to track tasking
Virtualization products; VMWare and Solaris containers
Qualification
Required
At least five (5) years of experience as a NE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional NE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree for a total of 10 years experience
Must have datacenter network design and architecture experience to include installation and configuration of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IPSEC virtual private networks
Deep expertise in CAN/MAN/LAN environments
Strong command of the TCP/IP protocol stack
Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols
Strong working knowledge of stateful firewalls, and L3/L4 access control mechanisms
Physical installation and configuration and troubleshooting of network routers, switches, load balancers and security devices
Strong working knowledge of L2/L3 protocols
Able to support on-call requirements
Able to work in live call environment and utilize remedy and/or other ticketing system to track tasking
Working knowledge of Atlassian Tool Suite
Virtualization products; VMWare and Solaris containers
A current government clearance, background investigation, and polygraph are required
Preferred
A strong understanding of High Performance Computing (HPC) environments
Hands-on experience with Infiniband and low-latency interconnects in HPC clusters
Familiarity with RDMA, QoS tuning, and network fabric optimization for compute-intensive workloads
Working knowledge of FiberChannel (FC) SAN, iSCSI, and data throughput tuning
Experience integrating storage networks with HPC compute nodes
