Responsibilities
Build robust business partnering relationships by providing data-driven and decision-supporting analytics on high-visibility projects
Develop ad-hoc business cases and present recommendations to AWS senior management
Drive improvements in the end-to-end costing process
Evaluate technology trade-offs with respect to cost and performance relative to customer requirements
Build systems to streamline delivery of financial information, ensure controllership, and scale the business
Lead the financial planning and analysis effort of your business partners and forecast various metrics for financial risks and opportunities
Partner with the business and influence decisions through financial analysis
Optimize technology development and deployment choices
Ensure accurate hardware costing
Build / improve financial tools and processes
Provide FP&A for the business
Qualification
Required
5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
Preferred
MBA, or CPA
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives/projects
Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
Knowledge of SQL
Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving, or experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
Experience in Excel (macros, index, conditional list, arrays, pivots, lookups), or experience using Oracle
