Solutus Legal Search is representing a market-leading AI assistant and productivity platform seeking a Senior Product Counsel. This role involves advising on the development and launch of AI-powered products, serving as the primary legal partner for product business units, and managing various legal aspects related to product development.

Responsibilities
Serve as the go-to legal counsel and partner for multiple teams building the company’s next generation of products and features
Advise Product, Design, Marketing, and Engineering stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle, from ideation through launch and iteration
Streamline and simplify legal reviews, serving as an ambassador for practical, business-aligned legal guidance
Identify and address product, regulatory, privacy, and other legal risks and mitigations, particularly as they relate to AI agents and products
Develop creative strategies for handling legal issues and build scalable processes that balance innovation and risk
Monitor evolving legal and regulatory developments in AI and SaaS and provide guidance to internal stakeholders
Develop deep expertise in AI-related legal matters, monitor evolving legal and regulatory developments in AI and SaaS, and help propose and advance internal AI legal and policy positions
Own and manage aspects of the company’s intellectual property portfolio
Support drafting, review, and negotiation of commercial agreements related to product capabilities and IP matters
Develop and deliver training on relevant legal topics
Support regulatory engagements, where applicable
Qualification
Required
JD from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar
4-8+ years of relevant legal experience, including a mix of top law firm training and experience at B2B SaaS or technology companies
Strong understanding of product counseling, data privacy, intellectual property, and commercial contracting
Demonstrated history of developing a culture of getting to 'yes, if…'
Comfort with ambiguity and a creative, solutions-oriented approach to complex legal issues
Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to tailor guidance to different audiences
Experience seeing legal functions grow and scale, with strong pattern recognition around best practices
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance, manage competing priorities, and thrive in fast-paced, results-driven environments
A collaborative team player who leads with humility and a healthy sense of humor
