Workforce Development Program Coordinator - Public Service Coordinator II
The State of Maine is committed to improving its workforce development system through the Department of Labor. The Workforce Development Program Coordinator will work with the State Workforce Development Board to research best practices, recommend policy changes, and prepare reports and presentations on workforce matters.

Responsibilities
Research workforce program best practices and recommend policy, operations, and rule changes that would improve Maine’s workforce system
Interact regularly with leaders from businesses, labor organizations, the legislature, and both non-profit and government agencies
Prepare reports, rules, and legislation based on best practices and direction from the Board
Make presentations on workforce matters at Board meetings, subcommittee meetings, and legislative hearings
Qualification
Required
A seven-year combination of education and experience in workforce development, government relations or other subject area that demonstrates the profile above
Preferred
Knowledge of the public workforce development system
Experience in researching, organizing, and presenting complex issues to a wide variety of audiences
Excellent interpersonal skills and experience coordinating stakeholders or working groups
Experience with effective public communications, such as through written reports, or oral testimony
Experience with agency rulemaking, policy development, and the legislative process
