Project Expeditor
Ellaway Blues Consulting is seeking a Project Expeditor to support the successful delivery of materials, equipment, and supplies for large capital projects. The role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure that all technical requirements and delivery schedules are met while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with engineering, construction, and project management teams to forecast material and equipment needs and align expediting activities with key project timelines
Coordinate closely with EPC partners on procurement activities including RFP/RFQ processes, bid reviews, negotiations, and purchase order follow-through to support expediting plans
Maintain continuous communication with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders regarding order status, expected delivery dates, and any issues affecting progress
Compile, track, and report delivery timelines for all equipment, materials, and supplies tied to project milestones
Identify potential delays or disruptions early and take proactive steps to resolve them; propose alternative options to maintain or improve delivery schedules
Work with our client’s procurement, warehouse, and logistics teams to support material receiving and resolve issues such as shortages, damages, or discrepancies
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors; monitor performance and escalate issues impacting quality or delivery
Maintain current knowledge of market conditions, supplier capabilities, new technologies, and alternative supply sources relevant to assigned commodities
Qualification
Required
Experience in expediting, procurement coordination, supply chain, or project support within industrial, construction, or manufacturing environments
Ability to manage multiple workstreams at once while keeping detailed records of all activities
Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
Excellent organization, tracking, and reporting abilities
Strong vendor-relationship and communication skills
Ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion
Quick decision-making, especially under time constraints
High integrity and strong attention to detail
Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, construction, supply chain, and logistics teams
Preferred
Prior exposure to EPC projects or capital project supply chains is strongly preferred
