Responsibilities

Monitor and respond to regulatory inquiries, compliance risks, and legal obligations in the Portuguese-speaking markets

Ensure TikTok meets regional safety and compliance requirements, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders

Develop and implement risk containment strategies to address evolving regulatory challenges and prevent potential violations

Analyze emerging trends in content safety, privacy, and digital regulations to ensure TikTok stays ahead of compliance risks

Work closely with legal, policy, and trust & safety teams to assess and mitigate regulatory risks

Prepare reports and documentation to support regulatory responses and compliance assessments

Act as a key point of contact for regulators and industry bodies on compliance matters

Conduct training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives to ensure internal teams understand regulatory compliance standards

Required

3+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, trust & safety, or a related field

Bachelor's degree in Law, Compliance, Risk Management, Political Science, or a related field

Fluency in both English and Portuguese. This is critical as the role will be one of the main points of contact responsible for supporting Portuguese-speaking markets

Strong understanding digital regulations, content moderation laws, and online safety frameworks

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Preferred

Prior experience working with regulatory authorities or law enforcement agencies is a plus
