ACS Engineering Intern
York Space Systems is an innovative aerospace company specializing in spacecraft production and mission operations. They are seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to contribute to spacecraft development, interface with engineering teams, and gain hands-on experience while working on real missions.

Responsibilities
Contribute to development of a high-fidelity spacecraft
Interface with multiple engineering disciplines and project stakeholders
Contribute to design reviews, process improvement and tool development
Execute a time bound, well defined project which is of high value to York
Gain hands-on test experience
Collaborate with the team to understand and leverage the spacecraft’s ACS and PNT data outputs
Conduct research on GNSS integrity monitoring
Analyze the effectiveness of implemented techniques and present findings to the team
Engage in constructive dialogues with peers, mentors, and stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Enrollment in (or recently graduated from) a 4-year degree program at an accredited university studying engineering
Must have completed at least Junior year of the degree program
Ability to commit to a 40-hour workweek for the duration of the Internship
Strong communicator, great team player and overall hard worker
Self-starter and self-motivated with a hunger to learn
An interest in full time employment at York Space Systems
Demonstrated interest in spacecraft and space systems
Willing and able to work in our Greenwood Village, CO office (this is not a remote internship)
Preferred
Experience in spacecraft ACS/GNC systems, particularly with navigation systems and/or GNSS testing and analysis
Demonstrated proficiency in MATLAB for model development and simulation
Familiarity with space vehicle testing and in-orbit operational challenges
Strong leadership qualities and excellent communication skills
