The Junior Accountant in the Accounts Payable Department will be responsible for reviewing and approving invoice postings, maintaining account reconciliations, and acting as a liaison between Accounts Payable and other departments within the company.

Responsibilities
Review and approve invoice postings are correct across multiple legal entities
Prepare multiple account reconciliations
Maintain and communicate cash balance for multiple bank accounts to the Finance department as needed
Review receiving documents against purchase orders and process vendor invoices for payment, with proper approval
Process intercompany invoices, journal entries, and related transactions across multiple legal entities
Resolve vendor phone calls regarding issues with unpaid invoices
Assess sales and use tax on invoices, as required
Generate payment runs to vendors across multiple legal entities in a timely manner
Act as a liaison between Corporate and factory locations, addressing any issues, discussing solutions, and implementing training sessions for new processes
Assist with other accounting tasks, as assigned by a supervisor
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
1-3 years of Accounts Payable experience required
Proficiency in GAAP principles
Candidate must be proficient in using Microsoft Excel and 10-key by touch
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment a must
Self-motivated and proactive problem solver with ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to adapt to change and provide constructive feedback
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Preferred
1-3 years of General Ledger experience a plus
Knowledge Microsoft Dynamics or an ERP system a plus
