Responsibilities
Developing an eardrum detection model to reduce the time doctors spend triaging images
Adding screeners that track developmental milestones for children. These help parents identify potential issues for early intervention
Building an algorithm that flags at-risk children so doctors see them as soon as possible
Adding WebRTC to our in-house EMR to improve call reliability
Rewriting our React Native parent app in Hotwire to simplify our stack
Qualification
Required
More than four years of experience working as a software engineer for Senior roles
A minimum of six years of experience for Staff roles
Strong full-stack generalist skills
Experience in MVC frameworks, like Django or Ruby on Rails
Ability to solve challenging problems
Experience leading people and projects
Ability to implement high-quality software
Experience in writing HTML
Experience in optimizing SQL queries
Experience in managing deployment infrastructure
Ability to work closely with product managers
Ability to collaborate with other functions, like the physician or marketing team
Ability to start with business objectives and work backward to technical solutions
Ability to use data to validate assumptions and measure impact
Ability to seek simple, maintainable solutions
Ability to proactively find and fix bugs
Ability to document systems
Ability to evangelize fixing tech debt
