Software Engineering Internships (Summer 2026, In Person- LA)

Responsibilities
Creating and running SQL queries to pull topline KPIs for shows and movies from Paramount+
Creating data visualizations using the outputs of the queries that allow stakeholders to access the results of the data
Deriving insights using the dashboards and metrics to create reports on how the content performs
Working with SQL and Python to clean data and conduct data exploration and analysis
Building Tableau dashboard
Building Machine Learning models
Providing data and analytics engineering support
Learning the process required to create data ingest feeds to help process new ingest and automation requests
Mapping, cleaning and QAing data
Becoming familiar with the data model and learning how to query data tables to audit data accuracy, identify and implement solutions to errors as well as creating and automating new marketing reports
Learning how to visualize data to tell a story through data to generate clear insights and actionable recommendations
Learning and understanding commonly used marketing metrics and the details of calculated fields to support the maintenance and enhancements existing reports and dashboards
Learning how to use SQL queries, data and storytelling skills to put together a whole marketing report that is automated, easy to read and provides actionable insights
Training on a variety of third-party research tools, including Nielsen, Antenna, Ampere, YouGov, and others
Learning to utilize vendor UIs and Domo to gather, organize, and analyze data in support of the team’s competitive analyses
Assisting with weekly and monthly deliverables
Developing an independent research project and present their findings to the broader team at the conclusion of the internship
Qualification
Required
Current Economics/Business Analytics/Data Science Master Program student
Strong programming skills for Python and SQL
Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering majors encouraged to apply
Strong knowledge of Python, SQL and experience with data analysis and integrations
Internships are available to students who will be Seniors or Master's students in the fall of 2026
You must be available to intern full-time (5 days a week/36-40 hours a week) for 10 weeks total starting in June
Interns will be required to work fully on-site for the duration of the program
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis
Employment eligibility to work with Paramount in the United States is required as the company does not engage in sponsorship for internships
