Associate Program Manager, Teen Arts Internships Implementation
Studio in a School is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and collaborative professional to join as the Associate Program Manager for Teen Arts Internships Implementation. The role involves planning and executing a paid internship program for NYC public high school students focused on career readiness, college preparation, and arts engagement, while also supervising a team of mentors during the summer internship program.

Responsibilities
Work collaboratively to execute against program timelines and workplans for the summer and school year programs
Support program evaluation data collection in partnership with the APM, Operations and the Director of Internships
Support all aspects of pre-program planning, including:
Develop prospective intern and worksite outreach plans
Create recruitment materials and representing Studio at recruitment events
Contribute to the intern application design and managing the application platform, including providing troubleshooting and tech support to student applicants
Organize the application review process and participating in interviews
Collect information on available worksite projects
Organize the process to make successful matches between interns and worksites
Contribute to the hiring process for part-time, seasonal staff (mentors); responsibilities include the collection and organization of hiring paperwork
Coordinate plans for workshops and cultural excursions
Communicate with instructional vendors
Prepare for worksite, Mentor, and intern orientations, e.g. creating materials and agendas, contributing to training plans, supporting training delivery, gathering necessary HR information
Run a process to identify Summer interns and worksites who will continue through the School Year program
Ensure smooth execution of the program throughout the year, including:
Supervise part-time seasonal staff (mentors) who are the primary intern-facing support staff
Serve as a day-of contact / support for PD workshops and cultural excursions; ensure these programming days are high-quality experiences for interns
Facilitate components of orientations, intern PD workshops, and/or cultural excursions (in alignment with APM background and skills)
Ensure proactive communication of program details among all stakeholders
Escalate issues and support troubleshooting as needed
Ensure interns receive effective advising (e.g., resume and cover letter guidance) from mentors, organizational partners, and worksite supervisors
Assist in approving timesheet entries for mentors and interns; ensure timely review and approval
Conduct research to support continuous program improvement (e.g., prospective worksites, high school connections, vendors, etc)
Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in arts administration, education, nonprofit management, or a related field
2+ years of experience with program coordination and comprehensive understanding of youth development
Proficiency using project management or workflow software (e.g., Asana, Airtable, Google Workspace, MS365, Microsoft Planner, Monday.com, or Trello)

Strong work ethic with an appreciation for deadlines. Adherence to project plans and following through
Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to set priorities and manage projects simultaneously, oversee and track work details and respond flexibly to changes
