Responsibilities
Supports the development, maintenance, and optimization of comprehensive 3D/4D models for infrastructure projects, using these for drawing productions, simulations, design validation, constructability reviews, and sequencing
Abides by BIM/VDC standards, guaranteeing uniformity, efficiency, and quality in our projects
Uses BIM/VDC tools to identify design and construction clashes
Develops 3D/4D visualization and virtualization renderings, walkthroughs and simulations
Utilizes BIM/VDC models to anticipate potential project risks
Assist in drafting design drawings using BIM/CAD software
Coordinate the use of drones and extract data from flights to use in BIM modeling and construction engineering
Maintains knowledge of Flatiron’s company values and strategic plan
Maintains knowledge of Company’s values and strategic plan
Performs additional assignments per management’s direction
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required
2-3 years of experience working in the digital build environment in the construction industry
Proficiency in Autodesk and/or Bentley 3D/4D software
Knowledge of and ability to use BIM/VDC/CAD software
Knowledge of construction drawing presentation and best practices
Attention to detail and familiarity with file organization best practices
Able to create and interpret 3D models for diverse infrastructure projects
Knowledge of construction engineering principles and regulatory codes
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge and skill in technical writing for efficient and concise document control and presentations to all levels of the business
Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
Desire and ability to learn about construction and virtual design process
