They are seeking a Summer Intern for their KCAL Los Angeles location to assist in various production and news gathering tasks, providing a hands-on learning experience in the field of broadcast journalism.

Responsibilities
Assisting the assignment desk in making calls, gathering and entering information on stories; working with the planning team to pitch and help book AM news segments as well as handle guests brought in for live interviews; working closely with the consumer reporter in gathering data and assisting in setting up interviews; aid special project producers in bringing content from idea to completion
Assisting and shadowing producers/APs/writers in learning how to build a newscast and select stories; learning how to edit and write; observing booth operations during a live broadcast
Assisting and shadowing reporters from story pitch to field to final product
Qualification
Required
Internships are available to students who will be Seniors or Master's students in the fall of 2026
You must be available to intern full-time (5 days a week/36-40 hours a week) for 10 weeks total starting in June
Interns will be required to work fully on-site for the duration of the program
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis
Employment eligibility to work with Paramount in the United States is required as the company does not engage in sponsorship for internships
