$40/hr - $65/hrAmperesand is disrupting industrial power with the first commercialized Solid State Transformer systems. They are seeking an R&D Electronics Design Intern to assist in high power and high voltage circuit design and the development of core circuits for various applications.

Responsibilities
High power, high voltage circuit design
Design and end-to-end development including design, layout, verification, reliability test, and manufacturing of core circuits
Compute systems including microcontrollers, processors and FPGAs for high frequency converter control and protection
Auxiliary power supplies for 1kV+ inputs
Isolated SiC gate drivers and fault protection circuits
Sensing and EMC circuit design
Qualification
Required
Technical degree or equivalent industry experience in electronics engineering
Experience in digital and analog circuit design
Hands-on experience with advanced digital and HV circuit bring-up and troubleshooting
Proficiency with PCB CAD and simulation tools (preferably Altium Designer, *SPICE and/or PLECS)
Excellent written and verbal communications in English
Preferred
Designed and built a power electronics PCBA
Experience with board thermals management
