The role involves supporting the billing function to ensure efficient and accurate billing processes while coordinating the work of a billing assistant.

Responsibilities
Coordinate the work of one billing assistant by monitoring task completion and tracking deadlines, while performing assigned duties
Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of billing processes
Collaborate with attorneys and other departments to ensure billing accuracy and promptly resolve any issues
Prepare, review, and distribute billing reports
Address and resolve billing-related questions or concerns as they arise
Work closely with the Billing Director on system upgrades, implementations, and testing
Qualification
Required
Experience in a legal billing environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
Proficiency in the use of legal billing software applications
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of professionals
Critical thinking skills and a continuous improvement mindset
Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure
Willingness and ability to work extended hours as needed to meet client and firm deadlines
Preferred
supervisory experience is preferred
