Zapata Technology is seeking a Software Engineer to provide functional and empirical analysis in support of software systems design, development, and implementation. This full-time, on-site role requires extensive experience in software engineering and problem-solving across the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Provide functional and empirical analysis in support of the design, development, and implementation of software systems

Support a wide range of software solutions and engineering activities

Participate in the development of test strategies, test devices, and system-level testing activities

Solve complex engineering problems or manage the resolution of engineering problems within the assigned functional area

Support software engineering efforts across the full software development lifecycle

Required

Minimum of nine (9) years of professional experience within the last fifteen (15) years

Experience providing functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of software systems, including application software, utility software, development tools, and diagnostic software

Experience participating in the development of test strategies, test devices, and system-level testing activities

Demonstrated ability to solve complex engineering problems or manage the resolution of engineering problems within the assigned functional area

Experience supporting software engineering efforts across the full software development lifecycle

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or another Engineering or Technical discipline

Requires a current TS/SCI. Employment is contingent on having or obtaining the required active security clearance or successfully passing the required background check, as well as other factors, including, but not limited to, drug screens
