Full-Stack Software Developer
ASRC Federal is a leading government contractor focused on missions in space, public health, and defense. They are seeking a Full-Stack Software Developer to support the FAA with their NextGen Weather Processor and Automated Weather Observing System, providing expertise in software development and system integration.

Responsibilities
Provides a consistent weather picture, with timely analyses and short-term predictive elements tailored to specific aviation requirements
Translates the weather picture into reliable airspace constraints for integration into air traffic decision-making
Enables safe, timely, and efficient operation of the NAS in all kinds of weather and seasons
Consolidates multiple FAA weather programs with overlapping capabilities into a single NextGen weather system
Needs to provide expertise in software requirements analysis, design, designs reviews, development, software testing, integration, installation, and maintenance of complex computer systems
Have experience with software programming languages used for the National Airspace System (NAS) and NAS support systems
Provides expertise in the development and improvement of software development processes
Provide 2nd level engineering support for ADAS and NWP
Support software development/testing/integration/troubleshooting activities for NWP and ADAS systems
Review and comment on system engineering documents, system requirement documents, software testing documents; training material
Attend system design reviews, technical interchange meetings, any other meetings as requested to support program and team
Possess a technical understanding of systems, databases, networking, computing environments, virtualization
Produce efficient or elegant code based on requirements
Able to support software applications in Linux environments
Provide troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining, and improving existing software
Provide end-user functionality support to the field remotely via the helpdesk
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Math, or a Bachelor's degree in another technical field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and five (5) years related work experience in a computer science or math field
Master's Degree in any field of study with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours of either undergrad or grad study in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and three (3) years related work experience in a computer science or math field
Experience in JavaScript
Experience in AngularJS or similar Frameworks
Experience in UNIX/Linux Operating Systems (RHEL)
Experience in Version Control (Git preferred)
Experience in Automated Build Tools (Bamboo, Gradle, Maven, etc.)
Experience in Data Engineering (JSON Schema, XML, Schema Definition, etc.)
Ability to work independently, as well as a team
Ability to research and problem solve
Be a US Citizen, have a US Green Card, or a Non-immigrant Work Authorization (VISA)
Has resided in the US for three (3) consecutive years
Candidate must reside or be willing to relocate within a commutable distance to Egg Harbor Township, NJ
Preferred
Familiar with Object Relational Databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
Familiar with Python and Shell Scripting
Familiar with Java, C# or C++
Familiar with Java Messaging Service (JMS) and ActiveMQ
