Responsibilities
Collect, analyze and manage quantitative data to create meaningful analyses and build financial models that drive business decisions
Partner with the Alexa org. to improve Downstream Impact (DSI) modeling and reporting for the Alexa Shopping organization
Lead economic modeling initiatives through partnership with central Alexa, including EV&O/DSI, cDev, and Missions models
Partnering with PM team on new product launches to calculate ROI and opportunity sizing
Partner with business and finance counterparts to identify the right metrics for the emerging customer experience to ensure improvements are driving economic outcomes
Support forecasting efforts of operating expenses, headcount, and resource allocation
Partner with business teams to enable success in the annual Goals process
Create, improve, and maintain reports for key financial and operational metrics
Analyze monthly financial and business metrics, report on key trends vs. plan, peel back layers to understand underlying drivers of financial performance
Perform month-end close related activities
Drive continuous improvement and standardization of processes, including implementation of best practices
Qualification
Required
5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) OR Master's degree and 3+ years of finance experience
Preferred
6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
MBA, or CPA
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
