M&J Engineering, P.C. is seeking a Senior Design Engineer for building rehabilitation and new construction projects at their Farmingdale, Long Island, NY office. The ideal candidate will be involved in all phases of building design and construction, working closely with clients, consultants, and team members to deliver high-quality architectural solutions.

Responsibilities

Develop preliminary engineering plans and final design drawings, and construction documents
Collaborate with project teams, consultants, and contractors
Prepare presentations, renderings, and design proposals
Ensure projects comply with zoning, building codes, and regulations
Participate in client meetings and site visits
Manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently
Support construction administration, including RFIs and submittals

Qualification

Professional Engineer LicenseAutoCADRevitBluebeamProject ManagementCommunication SkillsOrganizational SkillsCollaborative Work

Required

5-15+ years experience in municipal and private design and construction
Professional Engineer or Architecture License is a requirement
Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related field
5+ years of professional experience in architectural practice
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam
Strong design sensibility and technical knowledge
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Waterfront improvement experience is a plus
