Responsibilities

Develop and implement advanced digital control strategies for power electronic systems
Model and simulate inverter and energy storage systems using MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD, or similar tools
Perform stability and performance analysis under varying grid conditions
Collaborate with hardware and firmware teams to integrate control algorithms into embedded platforms
Support lab and field testing of prototypes to validate performance
Research emerging techniques such as adaptive control, predictive algorithms, and grid-forming inverters
Contribute to technical documentation, patents, and publications

Qualification

Required

MSEE or PhD in Electrical Engineering (focus in Power Electronics, Control Systems, or related field)
Strong foundation in digital control theory, signal processing, and power electronics
Experience with simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD, PLECS)
Familiarity with embedded systems (DSPs, FPGAs, microcontrollers)

Preferred

Grid integration standards (IEEE 1547, UL 1741)
Renewable energy systems and distributed generation
Programming skills in C/C++ or Python for algorithm prototyping
Passion for renewable energy and advanced control systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills for presenting technical concepts clearly
