Responsibilities
Performs the daily reconciliation of cash disbursement to retailers and rFinance by lenders. This includes following up with stakeholders such as the tech team, lenders, retailers and accounting, investigating differences to ensure disbursements are accurate. To do this accurately and efficiently, data validation needs to be performed and the reconciliation spreadsheet needs to be maintained and improved as rFinance scales its operation
As assigned, performs the period-end accounting close process including journal entries account reconciliations and periodic accruals. To do so, the analyst will analyze revenue, operating expenses, and selling, general and administrative expenses (SGA) to ensure accurate and complete accounting of the financial performance of rFinance. This also includes working with business partners on financial analysis and departmental budgets/forecasts
Performs the monthly service fee billing process in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure retailer and corporate accounting's expectations are met. To do this accurately and efficiently, data validation needs to be performed and the billing spreadsheet needs to be maintained as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Performs financial operations reporting and other reporting as assigned
Leads or assists in cross-functional projects to support the rFinance business in meeting its goals and objectives
Develops financial operations and accounting concepts, or techniques for financial operations and control
Qualification
Required
Bachelor degree in Finance or Accounting
four to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong Excel skills
Good understanding of finance, accounting & data analytic concepts
Experience with financial and data analysis
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience in process improvement and automation, including connecting to and working with large data sets
Preferred
CPA or CMA preferred
