Responsibilities

Plan and perform a variety of duties involved in design, development, and continuous improvement of production machinery, equipment and facilities
Develop and implement plans for cost reduction and plant efficiency improvements
As a project leader, develop a complete project plan including resources, costs, benefits and schedule; assume full responsibility for all aspects of the project to ensure it meets goals and schedule; communicate project status to partners as appropriate; and follow up to ensure project results are sustained
Using lean tools, social skills and leadership abilities, lead and facilitate kaizen activities
Lead and support capital expenditure requests and implementations using basic cost justification and business management principles
Support the completion of equipment and facility enhancements to promote safety, quality, and cost/service improvements by developing tooling, fixtures, gauging, instructional aids, improved layouts, etc
Advise and assist maintenance personnel in solving equipment problems and machine repairs
Develop standardized work and revisions to it based upon continuous improvement initiatives

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering required
1+ year of experience in a manufacturing environment within engineering preferred
Experience in programs such as AutoCAD, Solid Works, etc
Experience in initiating and guiding Lean Manufacturing and ongoing improvement initiatives; preferred
