Responsibilities

Manufacture and assemble The New Shepard Propulsion Module
Set up new production areas with required tooling and equipment
Conduct verifications and inspections of engineering models and procedures
Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for issues
Operate material handling equipment like forklifts and cranes
Use precision tools such as torque wrenches and micrometers
Lead continuous improvement projects for safety and efficiency
Maintain clean work environments and support 5S, FOD, and ESD standards
Work flexible hours, including off-shift and weekends as needed
Collaborate effectively with teams
Build trust, uphold professionalism, and foster an inclusive culture
Carry out additional duties beneficial to mission and vision

Required

2+ years' experience in aerospace or related fields
Ability to interpret drawings and specifications
Experience in wet/dry installing of hi loc/hi lite, blind rivet, solid rivets type fasteners
Ability to use standard mechanical tools, precision measuring devices and fabrication shop equipment
Experience torquing fluid and pneumatic fittings
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently or as a team
Experience drilling precision holes in a variety of materials (aluminum, composite, titanium)
Excellent demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
Ability to communicate differing opinions in a collaborative environment without conflict among other team members
Maintaining a clean and organized work area

Preferred

5+ years of experience in launch vehicle or propulsion system assembly and vehicle integration
A&P license or equivalent experience in launch vehicle or propulsion system assembly and integration
Experience with assembly in a clean room environment
Experience handling/installing ESD sensitive components
Experience in structural/component bonding, including material preparation and adhesive mixing
Experience with orbital tube welding and/or composite structure fabrication
Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware
Working knowledge of a variety of rocket propellants, including liquid oxygen/liquid hydrogen and liquid nitrogen
Knowledge in the use of 3-D CAD tools
