The Cost Estimating Engineer will be responsible for accurately estimating manufacturing costs and collaborating with the product design team to provide cost estimates for new product development.

Responsibilities

Estimate costs for manufacturing processes, including labor, materials and services to machine parts from a variety of materials including forgings, castings, and "super" alloys (Monel, Inconel, Titanium, etc.)

Analyze blueprints and specifications to determine the most efficient manufacturing methods

Assist negotiating business opportunities and help close deals

Collaborate with product design team to provide cost estimates for new product development and fixture design

Develop and maintain process documentation and work instructions

Work closely with production for successful hand-off of projects

Conduct cost analysis and identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement
