Field Service Engineer - Apprentice
Block Imaging is a company that provides essential imaging equipment services to healthcare providers. They are seeking a Field Service Engineer Apprentice to gain hands-on experience and training in the installation, maintenance, and repair of medical imaging equipment under the guidance of experienced engineers.

Responsibilities
Service, maintain, and repair medical imaging equipment at various customer locations
Evaluate equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventive maintenance, installations, calibrations, and repairs to ensure systems meet OEM specifications and customer expectations
Diagnose and resolve electronic, mechanical, and network-related problems under the direction of senior engineers, continuously developing technical skills and industry knowledge
Document service activities, procedures, and best practices; assist in training and educating end users on proper equipment operation and maintenance
Communicate effectively with management and team members by providing project updates, reporting issues, and identifying opportunities for improvement
Provide professional, courteous, and knowledgeable on-site representation of the company, maintaining strong customer relationships
Support continuous improvement by sharing field feedback, contributing to process enhancements, and pursuing ongoing learning in new technologies and repair methods
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Education: Associate degree in a technical discipline such as electronics, mechanical engineering, computer technology, or a related field
Experience: Equivalent military training or experience in a technical specialty may also be considered
Minimum of one year of hands-on mechanical and/or electrical experience
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude through a combination of work experience and/or relevant training
Mechanical Aptitude & Problem Solving: Demonstrates strong mechanical skills and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to troubleshooting using initiative and critical thinking
Organization & Time Management: Effectively sets goals, prioritizes tasks, and manages multiple projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail
Communication Skills: Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with strong active listening skills
Team Collaboration: Builds and maintains positive working relationships with team members, customers, and vendors; fosters open communication and shared success
Adaptability & Judgment: Responds confidently and professionally to changing priorities and challenges, using sound judgment and maintaining composure
Customer Service: Demonstrates a commitment to delivering exceptional service and ensuring customer satisfaction
Accountability & Quality: Holds self-accountable for high performance standards and consistently delivers quality work on schedule
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and internet research
Skilled in using computer diagnostic software and hardware
Accurate and efficient in database entry and management
Initiative: Self-starter who uses downtime productively and seeks opportunities to contribute
Safety & Compliance: Maintains a thorough understanding of safety procedures and adheres to all regulatory requirements
Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record
Must be 21 years of age or older to operate company vehicles
Must successfully complete a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, criminal background check, and drug screening
Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) medical exam and, if required, a written test to operate rental trucks or fleet vehicles
Must comply with on-the-job driver safety training when operating company or rental vehicles
