Responsibilities

Apply direct experience to fluids, thermal, and electrochemical component and subsystem test planning and execution, which could include development, qualification, acceptance, performance, and environmental testing
Execute test procedures
Proficient with fluids instrumentation and Data Acquisition and Control Systems
Proficient in creation of Test Plans, Test Procedures, safety assessments, P&IDs, Wiring diagrams, and Test Reports
Design, procure, and install test support equipment; manage vendors and subcontractors during installation
Troubleshoot issues that arise during testing
Conduct test readiness reviews, pre- and post-test briefings, and post-test reviews
Coordinate with test team members and support equipment for testing
Identify and enforce safety policies during test planning and operations
Reduce, analyze, and archive test data

Required

BS in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline
5+ years of relevant testing experience including valves, thermal control elements, power control elements, sensors, pneumatic/hydraulic fluids, or electrochemical hardware
Experience with fuel cell design and testing
Experience reading P&ID schematics/layout designs along with implementing into facility design and construction
Experience with space vehicle component or subsystem testing including structural, vibe, acoustic, modal
Understand the Test Like You Fly assessment and exception process
Solid understanding of pumped fluid loops and thermal hardware such as pressurized systems, actuators, heat exchangers, radiators, etc
Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills
Experience working collaboratively in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
Ability to support shift-work as needed to meet customer demands
A strong safety record
Demonstrate high standards in test operations and work cooperatively with a team of Integration Engineers, Responsible Engineers, and BLUE customers to ensure requirements are met

Preferred

Experience with aerospace flight hardware
Established technical expertise in test stand design, operations, and maintenance
Experience with vacuum chambers or vacuum applications
Experience with power generation or control systems
Experience utilizing space and industry standards such as MIL-STD-810, SMC-S-016, and MIL-STD-1540
Experience executing component testing at rate
Instrumentation and controls, and data acquisition systems experience, with preference towards National Instruments hardware
Knowledge of systems engineering practices, fabrication and integration processes, and quality control
Understanding/experience with hazardous operations and design for system safety
Strong Project Management skills to include budgeting and schedule development
Experience with 3D CAD tools, LabView, MATLAB, and data management
