Responsibilities

Identify opportunities which support Blue Origin’s strategic priorities through interaction with senior business leaders, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, investment bankers, and organic pipeline generation
Act as a subject matter expert on financial analysis, deal structuring, and valuation
Lead financial analysis, synergy forecasting, valuation and due diligence of potential acquisitions
Lead cross-functional due diligence teams, including legal, finance & accounting, tax, human resources, operations, IT, sales, and strategy
Lead deal flow process from term sheet signature to integration
Evaluate opportunities and risks in potential transactions
Work with all cross-functional groups from term sheet signature to proper integration
Perform research, reporting and analysis on M&A activity in the industry
Present investment thesis memos and recommendations for all stages of the deal process (sourcing to integration planning)
Build and maintain tools, analytics, and reporting to highlight performance measurements

Required

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or related analytical field
7+ years of demonstrated ability in investment banking, corporate development, strategy, finance, or consulting, to include economic and financial modeling and high level negotiations
Experience crafting and analyzing M&A processes for a wide variety of transactions
Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
Required for all positions: Blue's Standard Background Check
Required for Certain Job Profiles: Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) background check if at any time the role requires one to be on a military installation
Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training
Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical

Preferred

MBA from a top tier business school
Experience in the space industry or another capital intensive, manufacturing or R&D oriented industry
Entrepreneurship or early stage start-up experience
