Responsibilities
Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and ensuring clients waiting in the lobby are being monitored so wait times are limited
Scheduling and confirming appointments
Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients
Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions
Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control)
Managing electronic medical records, charts, reports and correspondence
Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside
Working in a multifaceted, fast-paced environment
Qualification
Required
Availability for closing (730p) and weekend shifts
Ability to provide compassionate customer service
Experience in scheduling and confirming appointments
Ability to place outbound calls for follow-ups and reach out to prospective clients
Experience in presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
Knowledge in recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions
Ability to answer questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care
Experience in managing electronic medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence
Ability to maintain hospital cleanliness, including removal of animal waste
Ability to work in a multifaceted, fast-paced environment
