Responsibilities

Prepare designs and analysis calculations and reports for various types of bridges and other transportation related structures
Prepare and run models, analyse and evaluate results using engineering software
Prepare specifications and engineer’s estimates
Solve engineering problems and challenges as a team member working with other disciplines and professionals
Perform site visits and inspections and prepare photos, notes, and/or reports as required

Required

Hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or higher with concentration in structures
0 to 4 years of work experience in Structural Engineering
Either have passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) or be willing to take and pass FE within 1 year after hiring
Actively participate in professional associations and be able and willing to learn
Have strong attention to detail along with reasoning and decision-making skills
Possess good analytical, planning and organizational skills combined with the ability to multi-task
Be familiar with various structural analysis software programs
Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
