Service Technician

Responsibilities

Responsible for preventative maintenance, inspections, start-ups, upgrades, repairs, troubleshooting, and safe operation of applicable equipment and associated system components to meet the intent of the project/service call requirements

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of related experience, or the equivalent combination of education (technical school) and experience
Experience in the construction or HVAC industry required including, but not limited to boilers, burners, combustion controls, psychometrics, and clean, dry refrigeration piping systems
Demonstrated knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and other building subsystems
Knowledge of HVAC&R theory, solid mechanical, electrical troubleshooting and repair skills required
Knowledgeable in the use of VOM Meters, Refrigerant tools, torches, Brazing and soldering required
Ability to read wiring diagrams, mechanical layouts and blueprints required
Ability to communicate with customers and coworkers regarding inspection and service findings is required
Must have or be able to obtain EPA CFC Certification- Universal
Be highly motivated and an independent thinker
Must be able to thrive in a fast pace setting and adapt/be flexible in a changing environment
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required
Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with handheld devices, such as Smartphones, iPads, etc
Must have current (within 5 years) or be able to obtain 10-hour OSHA certification
Valid driver's license
Participate in on-call rotation
Travel required. Must be able to travel to job sites 100% of the time. Also included is travel to manufacturers for training and office meetings

Preferred

30-hour OSHA is a plus
