ORAU is offering a unique opportunity through the NASA Postdoctoral Program for highly-talented scientists to engage in research projects. The postdoctoral fellow will participate in observing or modeling coastal hydrologic dynamics, focusing on integrating various approaches to understand groundwater and surface water dynamics in relation to climate change and other coastal processes.

Responsibilities

Participate in research observing or modeling coastal hydrologic dynamics

Integrate in-situ observations, modeled results, and machine learning approaches with remote datasets

Combine observational datasets such as groundwater storage, land subsidence, land cover, soil moisture, and ocean altimetry to understand coastal groundwater processes

Focus on specific projects related to the future of coastal watersheds in the context of climate change, submarine groundwater discharge, or saltwater intrusion
