Field Safety Inspector

Responsibilities
Complies with and ensures compliance with all Tri-M safety, substance abuse prevention, and employment policies and procedures
Complies with and ensures compliance with all Tri-M’s standards of conduct and appearance to reflect positively on the Company
Conducts jobsite safety inspection on a regular basis and addresses site conditions as required
Identifies, documents, and recommends solutions of hazardous/potentially hazardous conditions. Follows through to ensure conditions have been corrected
Recommends topics and assists in creating content for the company “Toolbox Talk” program
Collects information for incident investigations and help recommend preventative solutions
Recommends topics for annual safety program goals
Serves as a resource to employees for field electrical and high voltage safety related questions
Performs special projects assigned by the Safety Director
Represents Tri-M/EnerG Test at select site safety meetings
Facilitate training, as required
Keeps abreast of developments, standards, and trends in the Electrical, High Voltage, and Testing industry
Networks with other training professionals especially within the Electrical Safety industry
Reviews Shut-Down SOPs, tailboards, and other documents to verify accuracy, appropriate level of detail, and completeness of documents
Qualification
Required
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
Minimum of 8 years in the Electrical and/or High Voltage Trade
Minimum of 3 years' experience in training employees
Strong Knowledge of the NEC and Utility Standards
Ability to recognize hazards and recommend corrective action
Good interpersonal skills
Intermediate computer literacy including experience with Microsoft Office products
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Valid passenger driver's license
Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize to meet deadlines
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to multi-task various job responsibilities simultaneously
Availability and ability to travel to remote jobsites and storm events
