Development Database Manager
Opportunity Village is a nonprofit organization that supports individuals with intellectual disabilities. The Development Database Manager ensures the administration and accuracy of the Resource Development database, manages donor information, and provides data analysis to enhance donor engagement and fundraising efforts.

Responsibilities
Report suspected Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation, Isolation, and Abandonment (ANEIA) immediately as mandated by state law
Oversee the quality, integrity, and accuracy of all donor information and gifts entered into the database (currently Donor Perfect) in consultation with the VP of Philanthropy and the director of Development
Play a lead role in the strategic management and day-to-day operations of the donor and prospect database; serve as the department point person on queries, reports, actions, list management for mailings and significant events, and data importing and exporting
Design, test, deploy, run, and analyze reports for the Development team, Board of Directors, and other departments as needed
Strengthens donor relationships by ensuring accurate and timely processing, recording, and receipting of all gifts, consistently meeting a 48-hour turnaround standard
Provides support to database end-users through the maintenance of data entry standards and procedures, and conducts training as required to promote consistent, efficient, and compliant system utilization
Serves as a liaison with the OV Business Office, ensuring timely reconciliation of deposits, ACH (Automated Clearing House transfer) transfers, and online payment systems
Provides support throughout the budgeting process and facilitates regular financial review meetings to ensure consistent tracking and explanation of monthly variances
Prepare and issue invoices for the Resource Development and Events teams, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
Assist with the efficiency of special events, projects, and mailings
Serve as the department's data expert, providing guidance and regularly communicating IT-related information to the team
Work in coordination with team members to meet established deadlines for mailing lists and donor recognition initiatives, ensuring timely and accurate execution
Utilize fundraising best practices in establishing or revising data fields and standards, safeguarding the reliability and integrity of all reports produced
Manage the database in support of the goal of donor growth
Manage the archiving and organization of Resource Development documentation, ensuring proper record-keeping, data integrity, and compliance with institutional standards

Experience managing system upgrades, data organization, and transition
Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising best practices, including donor relations, gift processing, and resource development strategies
Ability to interpret instructions, gain knowledge, and have initiative
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or vendors of the business community
Ability to effectively present information to top management
Willingness to keep up-to-date technically and learn new technologies

Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Information Systems, or a related field
A minimum of two (2) years' experience with data analytics or data development
A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a donor-centric role in a nonprofit setting
Proficient in Windows-based programs, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Experience with nonprofit fundraising database software (CRM systems), preferably DonorPerfect, to manage donor records, track contributions, and support resource development activities
