Battery Manufacturing Engineer Intern
Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. The Battery Manufacturing Engineer Intern will assist in various engineering processes related to the design and manufacturing of battery packs, providing hands-on experience within the HV Power Systems Manufacturing Design Engineering team.

Responsibilities
Assist in the design and build of fixtures and manufacturing equipment for Battery Pack Manufacturing processes
Collaborate with Product Design team to provide DFM feedback
Support new equipment installation, commissioning and launch
Support with Battery Pack Prototype Builds
Create detailed documentation for handoff to the build team
Write Manufacturing Work instructions for the build team
Troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise
Assist with data analysis, algorithm development and visualization for process development
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a degree program related to engineering, manufacturing, mechatronics engineering, mechanical design engineering or industrial engineering at an accredited university, preferably a Junior going in to your Senior year
Strong Interest in equipment and machine design
Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Self-managed and committed to working in a fast-paced environment
Results focused

Preferred
Formula SAE team member or personal projects are a plus
Knowledge of Google suite applications
Knowledge or Past projects/internships in Machine Vision (preferably Keyence) or PLC Programming (Allen-Bradley/Siemens/Beckhoff)
Battery/EV/eVTOL knowledge or experience
Experience with a programming language preferably Python
Experience in data analysis/MathLab/PowerBI
