Sr. Director of Integrated Product Support

They are seeking a Senior Director of Integrated Product Support to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the IPS organization, ensuring the development and lifecycle sustainment of logistics and technical data products.

Responsibilities
Define and execute the strategic vision for the Integrated Product Support organization aligned with company sustainment objectives, customer readiness goals, and contractual requirements
Lead, mentor, and develop a workforce of approximately 230 professionals, including managers, logisticians, writers, illustrators, engineers, and publication specialists
Develop and manage departmental performance metrics to meet cost, schedule, and quality objectives. Implement metrics and KPIs for quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction
Champion digital and process transformation to modernize publication creation, management, and delivery across classified and unclassified programs
Oversee the creation, validation, and maintenance/lifecycle sustainment of all technical documentation supporting DoD and international defense customers, including:
+ Maintenance and Illustrated Parts Manuals (MIM, IPC)
+ Fault Isolation and Troubleshooting Manuals
+ Wiring Data and Schematics (WDM)
+ Service Bulletins, Modification Work Cards, and Field Instructions
+ Operator, Flight, and Crew Manuals
+ Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs/IETPs)
+ LSAR Data Products
+ LM Configuration Management artifacts
Ensure data-to-specification compliance for MIL-STD-38784, MIL-STD-40051, GEIA-0007, SX000i/S2000M/S3000L/S4000P/S1000D, ATA iSpec 2200, and customer-specific Data Item Descriptions (DIDs) data products
Formulate and recommend policies, objectives, budgets, plans, procedures and schedules for the department; develop, recommend, implement and monitor uniform programs; conduct quality control audits and evaluate work standards and performance levels ensuring uniformity, effectiveness, and appropriate staffing levels
Lead internal audits and participate in government reviews (e.g., DCMA, DQA, ISO)
Analyze and plan for future Management Information Systems (MIS) needs; assist in areas of computing and software needs so that future MIS requirements are met
Integrate publications with configuration management, logistics support analysis (LSA), and product lifecycle management (PLM) systems
Maintain documentation control under classified environments and adhere to export control and ITAR requirements
Drive continuous improvement in authoring efficiency, quality assurance, and content reuse through structured data and XML-based tools
Collaborate with Engineering, Flight Operations, Sustainment, Program Management, Supply Chain, and IT organizations to ensure technical data aligns with as-designed and as-maintained configurations
Represent the company in technical standards forums and defense industry working groups (e.g., GEIA, ASD, AIA, ATA e-Business)
Foster a culture of excellence, safety, and accountability across the organization

Qualification
Required
Typically requires a Masters or PhD in engineering, science, or a related technical field as well as fifteen or more years of progressively complex program administration experience technical publications, engineering data management, or product support for defense aerospace systems, with Minimum 7–10 years of executive or senior leadership experience managing large, geographically distributed teams
Demonstrates detailed and extensive technical expertise and application of program management principles, concepts, and practice as well as comprehensive program management and leadership skills including organizing, planning, scheduling, and coordinating workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones
Proven experience supporting major U.S. DoD programs (e.g., Air Force, Navy, Army, or FMS) through development, certification, and sustainment phases
Direct familiarity with defense contracting, CUI/ITAR/EAR data handling, and government data delivery (e.g., CDRL management)
Demonstrated success in implementing S1000D, Model-Based Technical Data (MBTD), or digital twin initiatives
Deep understanding of MIL-STD-38784, MIL-DTL-7700, MIL-STD-3001, MIL-STD-40051, GEIA-0007, SX000i/S2000M/S3000L/S4000P/S1000D, ATA iSpec 2200, and customer-specific Data Item Descriptions (DIDs)
Experience with CMS, PLM, and LSA tools such as PTC Windchill, Slicwave LSDB, Siemens Teamcenter, S1000D authoring suites (Arbortext, SDL/RWS, Pennant or Adobe FrameMaker)
Familiarity with DoD IETM/IETP frameworks and data exchange with ILS/LSAR systems (GEIA-STD-0007)
Strong command of configuration management, digital publishing, and structured data workflows
Strong communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required to enable an effective interface with other departments, all levels of management, professional and support staff, customers, potential customers, and government representatives
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance
U.S. Citizenship is required
