The Airframe Design Engineering organization is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Airframe Design Engineer, where they will assist in the design and development of helicopter fuselage structures and work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities
Assist with preliminary design layouts and detail design for new and revised parts, assemblies and systems that make up helicopter fuselage primary and secondary structures
Work within an multi-disciplinary team
Participate in the development and presentation of design proposals
Assist with detail designs and support through the product lifecycle
Work on layouts and drawings using CATIA 3Dx/V6
Assist with composite designs utilizing the CATIA CPD tool
Occasional travel may be required to support suppliers, customer meetings and reviews, as well as aircraft build support and test
The individual will actively engage in continuous quality improvement through root cause analysis and corrective action processes and the use of other Continuous Improvement (CI) tools
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering, with minimum of two years of professional experience
Experience in design of metallic and composite airframe structures
Proficiency in CATIA V5/V6 or equivalent CAD system is required
Preferred
Proficient in design of composite airframe structure and use of composite ply development tools such as CPD
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
Technical drawing/drafting skills
Experience in model based definition
