Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Patient Host or Hostess to enhance patient satisfaction by managing menu selections and ensuring timely delivery of food services. The role involves interacting with patients, managing dietary requirements, and maintaining food service operations.

Responsibilities
Interacts with assigned patients in an effort to gather menu selections. (25%)
Deliver and retrieves food carts in a timely manner. Ensures that patient trays are accurate according to the patient's diet prescription, and delivered on time and in accordance with the tray delivery schedule. (25%)
Corrects menus to reflect therapeutic diet prescriptions, as needed. (30%)
Accurately controls par levels of nourishments and floor supplies. (5%)
Completes assigned sidework in a timely fashion. (5%)
Accurately communicates special tallied menu items to production area. Completes forecasting tally. (10%)
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED required
Preferred
Associate's Degree in culinary arts or clinical dietetics
One (1) year of food and nutrition or customer service experience
Experience in high volume institutional food service operations preferred
Basic computer skills
Familiar with diets and diet terminology
Knowledge of accrediting agency requirements preferred
